THE BIG CHILL
Cold rain haunts my memories,
Chill droplets slip down the window pane.
I sit here and remember the sunshine,
Remember the creeks babbling voice,
I remember you.
Laying side by side, gentle words murmur,
An occasional laugh let loose into the tree tops.
Your steady hands embrace me.
A single eye takes a peak at me from under your hat.
I remember you.
The wind throws rain against my window,
Awakening me suddenly, sleep still dulling my senses.
Why am I cold? Why am I alone?
Oh yes, that's right, I left the sunshine behind.
Cold rain haunts my memories.
Chill droplets slip down the window pane.
